TC TC Dolgin is a multi instrumentalist, composer and educator with the strong philosophical belief that art, no matter what your medium, should be infinitely honest and eternally fun." TC’s main instruments are touch style guitar, electric bass guitar (four string, six string and fretless) and guitar. touch style guitar is a stringed instrument that has the same capabilities as a piano. He plays guitar and bass simultaneously, each of his hands independently executing rhythm and melody lines. TC plays 12 string and 14 string instruments designed by Mark Warr of Warr Guitars. His styles run the gamut. Rock, Jazz, Funk, World, Broadway, Classical and everything in between. " I’ve been influenced by everything from The Beatles to Bluegrass, Monk to Motown, Steely Dan to Stravinsky and of course Zappa… Anything that touches me… people, books, movies, art." He has performed and recorded throughout the US and Europe with numerous artists including Sex Taxi, Blue New World, Changing August, Marly’s Angels and Royalty In Exile. He is currently writing new material for a solo project and CD TC has composed scores for the theater and movies including Homecoming, White City and Aldo. He has taught for the last 20 years and continues to teach guitar, bass guitar, touch style guitar and improvisation while instilling in his students not to try to be like anyone else, but to be the best you that you can be. TC charges $110 a month for 4 thirty minute private lessons.
