Mike is from North Carolina and has lived here in Naples for 21 years. Mike’s passion for music consists of bluegrass, fiddle tunes and old time music. He started playing at an early age and has evolved through different styles of music including rock and folk music. Mike plays mandolin in a local bluegrass band in Naples called "Frontline". They can be seen playing at the Norris Center in downtown Naples and other local venues. Mike teaches beginner though intermediate bluegrass style mandolin, banjo, guitar -flat picking & rhythm, beginning fiddle and upright base. No need to read music. His instruction method teaches you to learn to play by ear and utilizes tablature, recordings and video.
